
This rambling log home, settled in the forest external Asheville, is an explorer’s fantasy.
Three wings – one for the living region, one for the main room and one for the lounge area, each with a gabled roofline – are set at 45-degree points to one another, subsequent in all encompassing 270-degree perspectives on the Carolina mountainside.

Here, in adjacent Black Mountain, she accumulates with companions daily at her 5,000-square-foot log home. Each get-together includes a toast, and the mixed drinks are poured 100% of the time with a view. “The upper deck, lower porch, around the fire pit – there is outside living all over the place,” Margaret says. “We unwind and share concerning what beneficial things happened that day.”
