Located in the woods among old-growth cedar trees, this solar-powered tiny house has its own sauna for you to use. Play horseshoes, take a walk on the beach, hike Guemes Mountain, or relax in the brand-new barrel sauna and cold plunge pull-shower at night under the stars and forest canopy. Additionally, our three E-bike rentals are now available for your use in exploring the island. More subtleties in posting photographs for evaluating and message us after you book assuming that you might want to add rentals onto your visit.
There is a single sleeper foam pad in the smaller reading nook loft, and the space California King memory foam mattress is in the main loft. If requested in advance, this single sleeping area will only be converted into a bed with sheets for a two-person rental. If not, it will be set up so that you can relax and read during your stay because we will assume that two people will be sharing a king bed. The kitchen has a mini fridge with a freezer, a stovetop with two burners, a toaster oven, a coffee maker, a french press, and all the plates, pans, silverware, and mugs you need to cook and eat. In the kitchen, we also have some spices, condiments, and cooking supplies that you can use. On the same main floor as the kitchen are a couch and a small two-seat dining area. Fire pit, picnic table, and propane barbecue on the outside patio. Way from entryway patio goes to your own confidential Barrel Sauna and cold dive shower. Ideal following a day of island experience.
Food options on the island: The main island store at the ferry landing is currently open seven days a week. It sells limited grocery items, food, beer, and wine, and it serves wine.
On the north end of the island, at the Guemes Island Resort, there is also a small store that sells beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages as well as a few food items (like frozen pizzas!) It is a 15-minute drive from the Tiny House and is open every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In order to simplify pricing, we chose not to charge you a cleaning fee. Rest assured that we compensate our cleaner fairly. 8 times the minimum wage) It makes me happy to give our community part-time work!
A net metering system that was installed on the site will also ensure that the tiny house and the entire property will be powered entirely by solar energy by August 2021.
